About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our Properties & Buildings-Mechanical Team, you will be responsible for directing project teams and overseeing cross-functional teams of engineers, planners, and scientific professionals.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Direct project teams and oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, planners, and scientific professionals.
  • Coordinate activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering design issues.
  • Be involved from project inception to completion in the management of mechanical design and construction of building and infrastructure projects.
  • Apply high-level mechanical engineering techniques and processes to identify improvements for various building and infrastructure project phases.
  • Schedule and orchestrate project team meetings.
  • Interact with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients in a confident and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with professionals, other engineers, planners, and building authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects.
  • Remain current in latest mechanical engineering techniques and practices.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior mechanical design experience.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Proficient with Revit.
  • Proficient with mechanical engineering principles, practices, processes, and their application to various projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of building and infrastructure design.
  • Well-defined specific knowledge of relevant mechanical engineering and construction laws, codes, and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer is highly preferred.
  • LEED certification desired.
  • Experience with international projects.
