Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecom Support Engineer to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a Telecom Support Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Avaya Aura core systems, including Communication Manager, System Manager, Session Manager, Call Management System, and Messaging. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting communication issues and providing technical direction to Telecom Analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and support Avaya Aura core systems
  • Troubleshoot communication issues and provide technical direction to Telecom Analysts
  • Collaborate with Networking on WAN circuit demand/capacity planning and quality of service
  • Provide technical direction to Telecom Analysts and create and present training to end-users
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Associate Degree Required: or related field, or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Required: Recent experience required with design, implementation, and support of Avaya Aura core systems
  • Preferred: Experience with PuTTY, DOS command line, packet sniffers, TraceSM, and Linux command line
  • Preferred: Experience with Linux command line interface, TraceSM, Wireshark, and other resources used to troubleshoot communication issues
  • Preferred: Experience organizing and managing detailed information and working with and leading teams in project deployment and troubleshooting efforts
  • Preferred: Clinical or healthcare experience
  • Required: Drivers License
  • Preferred: Avaya Certified Integration Specialist
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks and projects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
