What You'll Do

As a Life Safety Systems Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for promoting and selling Fire Safety/Fire Alarm Systems to contractor customers and end-users within an assigned territory and accounts. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing contact with prospects and qualifying potential buyers
  • Developing a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings
  • Conducting seminars, demonstrations, and other events to generate, develop, and qualify leads
  • Preparing proposals, making presentations, and performing follow-up for successful closing of sales
  • Interfacing efficiently with district operations to deliver and improve service delivery
  • Delivering sales against an assigned quota
  • Maintaining established accounts as an Account Representative
  • Reporting progress and supplying metrics to operation and corporate teams

  • Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities
  • Ability to persuade and close sales
  • Ability to acquire appropriate licenses required by national, state, and local codes
  • Minimum of two years successful sales experience in Electronic Systems or similar experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with electrical contractors, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable
  • Computer experience, preferably with Microsoft and Oracle programs
