Job Summary:

As an Electrical Calibration Specialist, you will be responsible for testing, calibrating, and repairing electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment. You will work closely with engineers to formulate test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute testing and calibration procedures for instruments and equipment.
  • Set up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
  • Disassemble instruments and equipment and inspect components for defects.
  • Measure parts for conformity with specifications.
  • Align, repair, replace, and balance component parts and circuitry.
  • Reassemble and calibrate instruments and equipment.
  • Develop formulas to solve problems in measurements and calibrations.
  • Assist engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair, and evaluation plans and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic principles.
  • Experience with calibration software and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
