Position Overview:

The Senior Process Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in the design and enhancement of electronic Process Systems, including DeltaV, OSI Pi, electronic batch records (MES), and process monitoring systems. This position collaborates with various teams such as Digital Plant, IT, and Manufacturing Operations to implement process modifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management capabilities, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to driving innovative initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize manufacturing process knowledge and technical expertise in process systems during change management.
  • Revise Functional Specifications for process systems, ensuring consistent implementation of modifications and compliance with governing documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of change initiatives.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of process system changes.
  • Gather user requirements from site functional teams to facilitate change development.
  • Apply knowledge of DeltaV and MES library objects to guide system modifications.
  • Create documentation to support the qualification of DeltaV and MES recipes, including test scripts and functional specifications.
  • Conduct testing of changes in the development environment to verify functionality.
  • Generate reports or metrics using reporting software.
  • Employ creative problem-solving techniques.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing operations and investigations as a process system expert.
  • Foster collaboration within the plant and across the network.
  • Build effective relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution (science or engineering preferred).
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or cell therapy manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with DeltaV, Syncade MES, or other process automation systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in cell therapy, biologics, or vaccine manufacturing support, tech transfer, and validation is essential.
  • Strong project management skills with at least 1 year of experience in project coordination and leadership preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting Delta V, Syncade MES, or similar process automation software is advantageous.

Working Conditions:

Access to classified manufacturing areas will require appropriate gowning. The role may necessitate extended hours or a modified schedule to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
