We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist to join our medical team at El Camino Health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine and medical imaging techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Perform Nuclear Medicine scanning procedures, instructing patients and selecting techniques as required.
- Position, transfer, and properly immobilize patients as necessary.
- Perform scanning, reconstruction of proper images, and post-processing.
- Conduct quality assurance on all images prior to ending the exam and sending images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Prepare radioactive doses, calculating and confirming the activity to be used.
- Administer radioactive, adjunctive, and imaging medications, including oral, intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal, subcutaneous, and inhalation routes.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT (NM) or NMTCB upon hire or within 4 months of hire.
- Preferred: Experience with Siemens equipment.
- Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- California Department of Public Health (CDPH) License in Nuclear Medicine.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (NM) or NMTCB for graduates after 2007.
- BLS certification.
