We are seeking a skilled Cytogenetics Technologist to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in Charlotte, NC. This is a permanent and full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various cytogenetic procedures, including sample setup, harvesting, slide preparation, staining, microscopic analysis, photography, karyotyping, and FISH analysis. They will also be responsible for managing record keeping, maintaining stock supply levels, orienting new personnel, and continuing education programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cytogenetic procedures with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Manage laboratory supplies and equipment
  • Orient new personnel and provide training on laboratory procedures
  • Continuously develop and improve laboratory processes and protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and results

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Life Science or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP or equivalent)
  • Technologist certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
