Job Summary

PruittHealth is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant Phlebotomist to join our team. As a CNA Phlebotomist, you will provide exceptional patient care and perform phlebotomy activities with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care and services to assigned patients, adhering to their assessment and care plan, and as directed by the nurse supervisor.
  • Perform daily phlebotomy activities accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner.
  • Handle laboratory data collection systems and equipment to ensure requests for laboratory tests are properly ordered, cancelled, and charged.
  • Correctly identify patients to avoid mistakes that can affect blood collections.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of policies and procedures, ensuring enforcement of infection control processes.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, reassuring them and making them feel at ease.
  • Document all information correctly and maintain confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and consult with lab manager regarding lab-related issues.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Comply with all OSHA, CLIA, and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an approved phlebotomy training program.
  • A minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience required with geriatric experience.
  • Active, current, and unrestricted Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the appropriate state.
  • Phlebotomy Certification.
  • Driver's license.
