Hematology Medical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Hematology Medical Technologist/MLT to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing qualitative and quantitative tests using various lab instruments and/or manual methods on blood, plasma, urine, CSF, stool, and/or body fluids. They will also be responsible for complying with all established standards and practices pertaining to test performance, including laboratory procedures, hospital procedures, CAP guidelines, JCAHO guidelines, and within the institution's policies regarding compliance.
Essential Functions:- Perform qualitative and quantitative tests using various lab instruments and/or manual methods
- Comply with all established standards and practices pertaining to test performance
- Perform quality control procedures as needed and established by protocol
- Identify abnormal patient results and take appropriate action
- Communicate results to physicians or other authorized healthcare providers as may be required
- ASCP certification (or equivalent)
- Associate Degree in Science (minimum)
- Previous lab experience preferred but will accept new graduates
