Position Overview

The Women's Business Development Council (WBDC) is on the lookout for a dedicated and proactive Marketing Coordinator to join our expanding team. This full-time role reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications and is integral to executing our marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be adept at managing a diverse range of responsibilities in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of WBDC's marketing strategies aimed at enhancing visibility, attracting new clientele, and fostering engagement among community members, legislators, stakeholders, and donors.
  • Create and edit marketing collateral, including but not limited to newsletters, social media content, event programs, press announcements, and web copy.
  • Support client engagement initiatives through research, database management, and customization.
  • Contribute to podcast production by coordinating guest bookings, drafting episode summaries, and crafting promotional materials.
  • Gather and compile information from clients for use in marketing efforts.
  • Assist with the upkeep and enhancement of the organization’s website.
  • Conduct research on various subjects and prepare materials for events and special projects.
  • Facilitate social media marketing by developing and scheduling posts while engaging with our audience.
  • Monitor timelines across marketing projects to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with external marketing and public relations agencies to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred experience of 2 years in marketing, particularly in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and synthesize information efficiently.
  • Comfortable working within a small team and adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Spanish is advantageous.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions within the scope of the role.
  • Familiarity with fundamental marketing principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with email marketing and social media platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with design tools such as Canva, WordPress, and Descript is preferred.
  • A passion for information management and experience with databases.
  • Willingness to participate in WBDC events outside of standard office hours.
  • Must have reliable transportation for travel between locations.
