Technical Design Assistant

The NYC Alliance is seeking a highly skilled Technical Design Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Design Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of our products and meeting the needs and expectations of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Technical Design Team to develop technical packs with specifications for garment construction, fit, and materials.
  • Review and analyze samples to ensure accuracy in fit and construction.
  • Communicate with vendors to coordinate sample development, conduct fittings, and resolve any technical issues or concerns.
  • Manage and maintain digital and physical records of tech packs, fit comments, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide technical expertise and contribute to project development.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or related field.
  • 1+ years' experience in technical design in the apparel industry.
  • Proficient in the Adobe Suite, Microsoft Excel, and other related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and materials.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized in record-keeping and sample management.
