Staff Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts and bank statements, and assisting with month-end close activities and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement schedules, and prepare financial statements.
  • Accounting Transactions: Review and verify the accuracy of accounting transactions and records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Auditing and Tax Filings: Assist with internal and external audits and tax filings, and support other accounting projects as assigned.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Utilize strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills to resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in accounting or related field required.
  • Skills: Proficient in SAP accounting software required, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
