Workers Compensation Attorney Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our law firm in Salem, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of workers' compensation law, experience handling complex cases, and a passion for helping individuals in need. In this role, you will represent injured workers in workers' compensation claims, handle all aspects of case management, and advocate for fair compensation on behalf of our clients.
The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in workers' compensation matters from initial claim filing through closure/resolution.
- Provide legal counsel to clients on their rights and responsibilities under workers' compensation law.
- Analyze and prepare legal documents, including requests for hearing, requests for reconsideration, exhibit lists, legal briefs, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with clients, medical professionals, insurance companies, attorneys, judges, and other parties involved in a case.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Oregon.
- 3 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
- Strong knowledge of workers' compensation statutes, administrative rules, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and litigation skills.
