Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the EVS team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans to ensure efficient and effective delivery of EVS services, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Quality and Performance Improvement: Identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Human Resource Management: Manage human resource functions, including interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, feedback, performance evaluation, and policy and procedure development.
  • Financial Management: Participate in the preparation of operational and capital budgets, ensuring fiscal accountability and responsible management of departmental resources.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Experience: Three (3) years of previous leadership experience, including at least two (2) years in an Environmental Services position.
  • Certifications: Bio Hazardous Waste certification, required within six (6) months of hire.
Physical Requirements

The EVS Operations Manager will be required to perform a variety of physical tasks, including carrying, climbing, crawling, hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

Work Environment

The EVS Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
