Major Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Greet customers promptly and within 30 seconds.
  2. Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner within 3 rings.
  3. Explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services.
  4. Review prescriptions and patient information carefully and identify special needs.
  5. Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
  6. Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
  7. Identify situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution.
  8. Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
  9. Handle and file patient records in an organized and efficient manner in accordance with HIPAA.
  10. Place contact lens orders, process shipments, and submit invoices for payment.
  11. Operate the POS system terminal and input customer/patient and prescription information with accuracy and attention to details.
  12. Accurately operate the POS system, collect proper payment, and retain proper change for various transactions.
  13. Explain "One Hour" processing and expected delivery times.
  14. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates/patients.
  15. Respond quickly to changes in store promotions with appropriate staff communications, graphics, and point of purchase materials.

Demonstrate good product knowledge and take initiative to accurately describe the features and benefits of various lenses and frames.

Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that are best suited for their vision, lifestyle, and budget.

Doctor's Office

Perform all pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to details.
