Job Summary

The Eye Care Advisor plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences at EssilorLuxottica Group. This position requires a strong focus on customer service, product knowledge, and clinical skills to ensure patients receive the highest quality optometric care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting patients promptly and addressing their needs in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Explain all required paperwork, tests, products, and services to patients, ensuring they understand their options and make informed decisions.
  • Review prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs and consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management as necessary.
  • Perform work accurately and thoroughly, despite time pressure and customer volume, to ensure seamless execution of the patient experience.
  • Identify situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
  • Handle and file patient records in an organized and efficient manner, in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Process contact lens orders, shipments, and invoices for payment.
  • Operate the POS system, collecting proper payment and retaining change for various transactions.
  • Take pride in the appearance of the store, ensuring visual displays align with Company guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all associates and patients.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends and product knowledge.
  • Strong basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical is preferred.
