Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency tests on various body fluids using automated and manual equipment.
- Prepare reagents and manage inventory.
- Assist with order entry and phone inquiries.
- Provide guidance to technicians and train new employees.
- Maintain a clean work area following Infection Control guidelines.
- Handle additional lab tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a physical science; medical technology preferred.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or a limited permit is required.
- Proficiency with laboratory and hospital information system computers, as well as various automated and laboratory equipment, is essential.
