Phlebotomist (PRN) Job Opportunity

Heartland Women's Healthcare is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our clinical and laboratory team on a part-time basis. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of care for our obstetrical and gynecological patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens in accordance with laboratory and clinic procedures.
  • Administer oral solutions as required by established protocols.
  • Verify patient identification information to ensure accurate test results.
  • Process specimens, including labeling, centrifugation, and preparation for transport.
  • Enter patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Process billing and insurance information.
  • Maintain patient and specimen logs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinic personnel.
  • Assist with inventory management, sanitization, and other non-patient facing duties.
  • Maintain phlebotomy logs and ensure compliance with licensing and accrediting standards.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy certification.
  • 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to draw blood using sterile needles and collection containers.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
