As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for evaluating software that powers cutting-edge Dolby technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently assess and deliver groundbreaking Dolby Imaging/Video solutions.
  • Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and research teams to ensure timely and superior product releases.
  • Design and manage new continuous integration, testing frameworks, and execution strategies to support the strategic innovation pipeline across various ecosystems and device categories.
  • Evaluate emerging imaging technologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality libraries.
  • Create, document, and maintain testing environments and tools.
  • Ensure precise test documentation and code annotations.
  • Prototype innovative testing methodologies, tools, or techniques.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members.
  • Identify issues, generate detailed bug reports, and validate bug resolutions.
  • Analyze testing metrics and prepare objective testing reports.
  • Participate in or lead reviews for requirements, testing plans, test designs, and code evaluations.
  • Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Collaborate with technical writers to produce technical documentation for publications.
  • Foster a positive workplace atmosphere and effective communication.
  • Represent Dolby with professionalism at industry events and conferences.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, with a focus on multimedia/computer vision and a minimum of 5 years in software testing engineering.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Experience in computer graphics, computer vision, image processing, and/or video processing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with HDR technologies such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG.
  • Experience with C++ programming.
  • Exposure to version control systems like Perforce or Git and project management tools like Jira.
  • Understanding of video technologies and workflows in cinema and television production and post-production.
