The Sales Associate/Material Handler plays a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the store's operational efficiency. This position involves engaging with customers and donors, managing inventory, and supporting the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and assist customers and donors with their needs, providing prompt and courteous service.
  2. Prepare and display priced merchandise on the sales floor in line with organizational standards.
  3. Sort and process donations following established guidelines.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to assigned cleaning duties.
  5. Operate the POS system and cash register in compliance with company policies.
  6. Ensure safety protocols are followed and report any hazards to management.
  7. Adhere to all human resources policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in mandatory monthly team meetings.
  9. Follow the dress code as per company standards.
  10. Work flexible hours as determined by management to ensure adequate store coverage.
  11. Receive, unload, and accurately stock incoming inventory.
  12. Conduct quality checks on products to identify defects or damages.
  13. Keep the donation area clean and organized at the start and end of each shift.
  14. Assist donors with unloading items and provide receipts as necessary.
  15. Sort and categorize donated materials into appropriate containers as directed.
  16. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills: Effective communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
