Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified faculty member to join our team at the Georgia Cancer Center. The successful candidate will have expertise in basic or translational cancer research and will contribute to our growing community of researchers in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative and competitive research in cancer biology, leading to the identification of new therapies and treatments.
  • Collaborate with other researchers in the Georgia Cancer Center and beyond to advance our understanding of cancer and develop effective treatments.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, securing funding from reputable sources and publishing original scientific reports in high-impact journals.
  • Teach and mentor students, post-docs, and medical students, contributing to the educational mission of the Cancer Center.
  • Participate in service activities, including committee work and review of research proposals.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or M.D. degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven success in cancer research, with a track record of securing funding and publishing high-impact research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Ability to teach and mentor students, post-docs, and medical students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in leading collaborative research projects and securing funding from reputable sources.
  • Strong publication record in high-impact journals.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on cancer biology and translational research.
