Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and examination procedures.
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories.
  • Administer injections and assist with splints and dressings as directed.
  • Perform CLIA Waived tests and maintain quality controls on all CLIA tests performed in the office.
  • Order and maintain supplies as needed.
  • Perform general receptionist duties, including verifying and updating patient information, answering phones, and processing medical records.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
  • Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants preferred.
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle money in a safe manner.
