We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Student Accounts Bursar to join our team at Jobot. As a Student Accounts Bursar, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining student accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain student accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Post payments promptly and accurately, and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded.
- Reconcile student accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Billing students for tuition, fees, room and board, and other applicable charges.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment processes.
- Provide excellent customer service to students and parents, responding to inquiries regarding student accounts, billing, and payments.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA regulations.
- Stay current on industry best practices, trends, and regulatory changes.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a higher education setting.
- Strong knowledge of posting payments, billing, and account reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- A strong understanding of FERPA regulations and the importance of maintaining student confidentiality.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
