At National Guard Employment Network, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Leader to join our dynamic Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring an uninterrupted flow of material/parts to the shop floor.



The ideal candidate will lead a dynamic team of procurement buyers responsible for placing purchase orders for various materials, parts, components, equipment, and commodities for just in time deliveries.



Key Responsibilities


  • Reviews Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for FAR, DFAR's compliance and overall value.
  • Develops procurement strategy.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and lead by example.
  • Effectively serves as first point of escalation to resolve pricing and lead time challenges with suppliers.
  • Develops and executes negotiation strategies for pricing agreements and Long Term Agreements.
  • Provides guidance on effective source selections to ensure compliant awards.
  • Utilizes metrics and KPIs to effectively evaluate supplier performance.
  • Expedites material to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Performs price analysis as needed.
  • Ability to present to senior leadership team as needed.


Requirements

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and eight (8)+ years of experience in purchasing and/or government procurement. Additionally, they will have three (3)+ years' experience in Supply Chain leading people, experience with use of ERP/MRP systems, and a strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, FAR, DFAR's, and risk mitigation strategies.



They will also demonstrate the ability to achieve positive results through influence, negotiation, and change management, as well as the ability to develop sound relationships in internal and external customer organizations.



This position requires access to technology, materials, software, or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, the candidate must be a 'US Person' under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).



Preferred Qualifications

A Master's Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, SAP experience, and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and MRP systems are also highly valued.



Competitive Salary Range: $137,574 - $237,000 annually.
