Job Summary

The CARF Accreditation Specialist/Quality Improvement/Compliance Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the Moody Neuro Rehabilitation Institute meets the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for overseeing all quality, risk management, and patient safety-related activities within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality improvement programs and activities to achieve accreditation and certification from regulatory agencies such as CARF and HHSC.
  • Direct the planning, development, and implementation of programs and activities to ensure compliance with national and state regulatory standards.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk analysis to ensure readiness for state and quality surveys.
  • Provide policy compliance oversight to program directors and ensure consistency and compliance in patient chart reviews.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments and residential staff to provide quality physical care needs of clients.
  • Utilize clinical expertise to ensure continuity in care, treatment, and documentation of all programs and promote a culture of safety.
  • Assist in the set-up, training, and continued use of an electronic medical record system to ensure it meets regulatory and safety standards.
  • Provide ongoing education to therapists, direct care staff, and medical personnel to ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and licensing boards.
Qualifications
  • Holds a master's degree in a related clinical field and holds an active clinical license in the state of Texas.
  • Previous experience with CARF and a minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Prefer experience in the field of brain injury.
Work Environment

The CARF Accreditation Specialist/Quality Improvement/Compliance Officer will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
