Regulatory Compliance Specialist

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist with the Health & Human Services Comm, you will play a critical role in protecting residents' health and safety by conducting on-site inspections and investigations in Texas long-term care facilities. Your expertise will ensure compliance with state and federal laws and rules, promoting a safe and healthy environment for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with regulations
- Develop and implement training programs for field investigators
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and enforcement activities
- Communicate effectively with facility staff, residents, and stakeholders
- Prepare and submit reports detailing findings and recommendations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., public administration, healthcare administration, business administration)
- Experience in a Texas state agency regulatory program or as a Registered Nurse
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
