Job Title: Sous Chef

We're seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our team, specializing in diverse cooking using Traeger Pellet Grills. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll play a crucial role in assisting our Culinary Director in all aspects of kitchen operations, with a focus on preparing exceptional dishes using Traeger grills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Culinary Expertise: Collaborate with our Culinary Director and team in developing and refining recipes specifically designed for Traeger pellet grills to fulfill events, social media content, and VIP dinners.
  • Kitchen Operations: Work closely with our Culinary Director to oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Support our Culinary Director in training and mentoring kitchen staff on Traeger grill techniques and recipe development, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Recipe Development and Events: Contribute to the creation of seasonal recipes that are elevated by using a Traeger grill, interacting with guests to answer questions about Traeger grills, ingredients, and cooking techniques, and working closely with our events team to help plan, lead, prep, and execute events.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on grilling, smoking, and barbecue techniques.
  • Self-starter and someone who takes initiative to constantly improve and work more efficiently.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Creativity and passion for developing innovative recipes and menu concepts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
