The Technical Professionals Group (TPG) is seeking a dedicated Engineering Supervisor to oversee the installation and evaluation of driver assistance technologies. This role is crucial in supporting development teams through comprehensive analysis of results, processing feedback from contract drivers, and implementing process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with DAS scrum teams to facilitate tasks in the garage, vehicle, and laboratory settings for the installation and testing of driver assistance systems.
- Develop expertise in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features to comprehend system functionalities, identify subtleties, and provide valuable insights to development teams.
- Coordinate logistics for vehicles and contract drivers.
- Install and validate the functionality of driver assistance systems on both test and customer vehicles.
- Construct vehicle and bench electrical harnesses.
- Manage, monitor, and document hardware updates for prototype orders.
- Execute vehicle instrumentation and retrofitting of electronic systems in a laboratory or garage environment.
- Utilize data acquisition and diagnostic tools proficiently.
- Generate automated reports from data collected during mileage accumulation, analyze results, and present findings to relevant teams.
- Compose technical reports to document testing outcomes and conclusions.
- Maintain and enhance work instructions and testing protocols.
- Drive process improvements in methods and equipment for cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities within a collaborative team environment.
- Effectively interpret and communicate conclusions derived from test results.
- Proven experience in basic electronic systems troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with tasks typically performed in a vehicle laboratory setting, requiring minimal guidance from engineering resources.
- Experience with vehicle systems, particularly in commercial applications.
- Knowledge of vehicle testing instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Exposure to various diagnostic software and automotive diagnostic interfaces is advantageous.
- Experience with CAN networks and Vector tools is beneficial.
- Familiarity with test management systems is a plus.
- Ability to coordinate vehicles and drivers to achieve scheduled mileage goals.
- Understanding of driver assistance functions at the vehicle level is a plus.
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical proficiency.
- Knowledge of brake components and systems is advantageous.
- Proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to quickly assimilate data using data acquisition systems.
- Willingness to learn new tools and develop a diverse skill set.
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort in an automotive service environment.

- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% to various sites as needed.
