Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated full-time Cardiac Monitoring Specialist to work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, focusing on telemetry surveillance.

  • Conduct continuous monitoring of multiple cardiac monitors and manage the patient-monitoring system.
  • Gather patient data for telemetry documentation, including heart rhythm history.
  • Analyze, document, and interpret heart rhythms, identifying any irregularities.
  • Detect changes in heart rhythms and communicate findings to nursing or medical staff.
  • Recognize significant arrhythmias or signs of patient distress and respond appropriately.
  • Ensure all monitoring equipment is functioning correctly and report any issues to the supervisor.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Essential Skills:

  • Critical thinking and sound judgment are essential, along with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and take decisive action.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required, with the capacity to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to maintain quality patient care.

Certifications:

  • American Heart Association HeartSaver CPR certification is required within 8 weeks of employment.
