As a Business Development Specialist - Commercial Lending at Independent Bank (TX), you will be responsible for delivering meaningful, sustainable value to customers by anticipating their needs and expectations. This includes providing appropriate value-add solutions, ensuring integrity and timeliness of customer information, and ensuring each relationship is profitable and represents appropriate risk.
Key responsibilities will include managing moderately large relationships that require complex analysis, presenting loan opportunities to credit approvers, and ensuring loans are documented in accordance with credit approvals. You will also work closely with Sr. Relationship Managers to perfect business development efforts and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of new business opportunities.
To excel in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial lending, and advanced familiarity with treasury management services and other banking products. Strong technical skills, thorough accounting & finance knowledge, and demonstrated ability to negotiate on behalf of the bank and borrower are also essential.
