Miami Roller Rink is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our maintenance team as a Maintenance Cleaning Crew Member. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of our facility.


Job Summary:


The Maintenance Cleaning Crew Member is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the roller rink facility, including common areas, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Responsibilities:



  2. Cleaning and Sanitization:

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.


Clean and disinfect common areas, restrooms, and high-touch surfaces regularly.


Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.



  2. Maintenance and Repairs:

Identify and report maintenance issues, such as broken equipment, lighting problems, or damage to the facility.


Perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks when possible, such as fixing loose fixtures or tightening bolts.


Coordinate with maintenance technicians or contractors for more extensive repairs.



  2. Floor Care:

Maintain the roller rink floor by cleaning and resurfacing it as necessary.


Monitor the condition of the skating surface for any hazards or damage and take appropriate action.


Apply floor coatings or sealants as directed.



  2. Equipment and Supply Management:

Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that they are adequately stocked.


Request supplies and report any equipment issues to the supervisor.


Safely store and handle cleaning chemicals and materials.



  2. Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for cleaning and maintenance tasks.


Ensure that safety signs and warnings are in place and visible to patrons.


Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.



  2. Event Setup and Cleanup:

Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment and decorations for special events or parties.


Clean and restore the roller rink to its standard configuration after events.



  2. Teamwork:

Collaborate with other members of the maintenance crew to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning.


Communicate with roller rink staff and management regarding any maintenance or cleanliness issues.


Qualifications:


Previous experience in janitorial or maintenance roles is preferred but not always required.


Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.


Attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness to a high standard.


Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment.


Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, as roller rinks often have peak hours during these times.


Maintenance Cleaning Crew members play a vital role in ensuring that the roller rink facility remains clean, safe, and inviting for all customers. Their efforts contribute to the overall positive experience of roller skaters and visitors.
