About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring that our bakery products meet the highest standards of quality and freshness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers about our bakery products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the bakery department and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure that all bakery products are properly stored, rotated, and displayed to meet quality and freshness standards.
  • Operate bakery equipment, such as mixers and ovens, to prepare and bake products.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking bakery products.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and inviting shopping environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
