Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electrician to join our Facilities team. As an Electrician, you will perform the installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical equipment, including heavy physical work and operation of hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment.
  • Replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunctions with other maintenance staff.
  • Assist with planning and layout of wiring with the engineering department.
  • Program, calibrate, and configure digital temperature controllers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair SCR power controllers.
  • Document daily work accountabilities and parts usage.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree (AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A valid Journeyman's license is required, Master Electrician License preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot faulty electronic components and systems.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and electrical safety.
  • Available for rotation of call-in coverage schedule.
  • Industrial electrical/controls/mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Wiring and troubleshooting experience with control panels, electric motors, electrical ovens, and typical industrial equipment desired; preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience; preferred.
  • Lean / Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement; preferred.
