Customer Service Associate

Job Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
Welcome customers as they enter the store, assist them in finding products, and address inquiries about available items. Organize merchandise in an attractive and orderly fashion. Replenish stock as needed, monitor expiration dates, and remove any expired products. Maintain a tidy and organized storeroom. Process customer transactions, handle various payment methods, and manage returns, refunds, and exchanges. Confirm customer identification when necessary.
Ensure adequate cash levels in the cash register, submit all monetary transactions and receipts, and verify cash deposits.
Adhere to the opening and closing procedures for the store. Safeguard the premises and observe customer behavior to deter theft and damage to merchandise.Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Comply with all company policies and protocols; maintain a clean and professional appearance; protect confidential information; safeguard company assets.
Greet and acknowledge all visitors according to company standards; anticipate and respond to customer service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; express gratitude to customers sincerely.
Communicate clearly and professionally with others; answer phone calls with proper etiquette. Foster and maintain positive relationships with colleagues. Adhere to quality assurance standards and expectations.Perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; lift or carry items weighing up to 10 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
Carry out other reasonable job responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
