Cable Systems Specialist

Under general oversight, executes cable diagnostics, routine evaluations, and equipment troubleshooting.
DETAILED TASKS, ACTIVITIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Conduct regular testing and inspection protocols to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the loading and unloading of cable apparatus onto transport vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, tools, and fixtures to prevent hazards to personnel and ensure the integrity of assembled components.
- Provide training and mentorship to new employees on fundamental principles.
SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS:
- Perform all tasks safely and adhere to all safety protocols to support the company's Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) objectives.
- Comply with all environmental regulations to aid in achieving the company's environmental performance targets.
- Complete and actively engage in all company-required Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) training.
- A High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- A clean driving record is necessary for those operating vehicles.
- 3-4 years of experience in artificial lift systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
- Capability to write basic correspondence as needed.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Basic skills in using hand tools.
- Fundamental computer skills to operate computerized testing equipment.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- A combination of the above qualifications may also be considered.
- Must be able to stand for extended durations.
- Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
- Must safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working in the area.
- Must possess the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand and mechanical tools.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be adaptable to changing priorities and complete tasks despite frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to respond to visual and auditory signals.
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
