About the Role

Certified Peer Support Specialists play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems. As a member of our team, you will work closely with clients to enhance their recovery and provide guidance, coaching, and support.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Providing individualized support and guidance to clients.
  • Training clients on personal and community resources.
  • Assisting clients in developing formal and informal community supports.
  • Supporting clients in increasing their social networks.
  • Ongoing support and encouragement during times of crisis.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Past experience in mental health or substance abuse services.
  • A history of managing your own illness.
  • Awareness of the importance of recovery in living with a mental illness or addiction.
  • Prior experience working directly with people in a service-oriented field is beneficial.
Benefits and Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a flexible schedule and opportunities for professional growth and development.
