Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team at the Upper Darby School District. As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and/or language impairments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech and/or language impairments
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy and provide suggestions for daily activities
  • Help reduce or eliminate speech/language impairments that interfere with students' ability to benefit from the district's educational program
  • Provide diagnostic evaluation to children referred and interpret assessment results to staff and parents
Requirements
  • PA Instructional Certificate in Speech and Language Pathologist (PK-12)
  • BA required in appropriate major study, masters preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of content in certification area
  • Classroom/group management skills
  • Ability to use instructional materials and equipment
  • Knowledge of child growth and development
  • Instructional skills
  • Planning Skills
  • Human Relations Skills
  • Strong communication and motivational skills
