Financial Controller

As the leader of the accounting department, the financial controller will be responsible for closely monitoring Thrives financial health. They will maintain, manage, and analyze financial statements, payroll, budgets, tax compliance issues, and more. They will guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. They will protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls as well as monitor and confirm the company's financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounting for all entities/locations on a monthly basis
- Conduct timely and accurate yearly audits
- Treasury management
- Monthly financial statement reporting within a 15 close deadline
- Attend board meetings as requested. Prepare and present on company financials.
- Support and flawless execution in Mergers & Acquisitions
- Monthly financial reviews with Directors and Board Members
- Help develop and support short- and long-term finance strategies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Maintain internal safeguards for revenue receipts, costs, and team/organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
- Manage and maintain the company budget. Work closely with Executive team and department heads on budgets and profitability goals.
- Monthly sales tax reporting
- Bank & credit reconciliations
- Daily Cash Flow Management & Forecasting
- Accounts payable tracking & processing
- Liaising with external Tax & Audit staff for audited financial statements & tax returns; all Compliance related obligations
- Investor relations & maintenance of capital tracking and statements
- Debt service payments & reconciliations
- Validation & reconciliation of Corporate Franchisor invoicing
- Enforce OTF and Thrive corporate policies, business practices, systems and processes.
- Proficient in Quickbooks
- Works collaboratively with peers and other leaders
- Keeps up to date on all federal, state and local regulations
- Meets commitments & deadlines
