Job Summary:
Pediatric Specialty Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality care to our pediatric patients. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the general health and well-being of our patients by providing direct nursing care.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the planning and delivery of care to all assigned patients.
- Administer medications and treatments to patients as ordered by the physician.
- Perform and promote timely and accurate documentation.
- Assist in performing accurate thorough and timely completion of nursing admission evaluations and re-evaluations of patient care needs.
- Provide evaluation of needs of patient care planning information as necessary and as requested by nurses and other healthcare disciplines.
- Performs all position duties according to safety rules and standards of practice required for this position.
- Reports to the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, RN Supervisor and/or licensed professional any unusual symptoms, changes of condition, daily needs and progress of patients.
Requirements:
- Credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a current state license in good standing for the state in which work is performed.
- Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Training and work experience in a pediatric setting preferred.
- Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor as described in 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800.
Working Conditions:
This position requires regular interaction with patients, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors. In order to ensure a safe work environment for patients, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those patients, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
