Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

The Portland Clinic is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant will work closely with our Registered Nurses and Providers to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves a range of responsibilities, including patient rooming, vital sign collection, and administrative tasks such as faxing and scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient rooming and vital sign collection
  • Administrative tasks such as faxing and scheduling appointments
  • Discharge of patients after necessary teaching has been completed
  • Exam room cleaning and stocking
  • Collection of urine specimens and COVID-19 specimens as directed by the RN or LIP
  • Performing bladder scans and EKGs as delegated by the RN or LIP
  • Maintaining a sterile field as trained and competent
  • Epic In-basket sorting and prioritization
  • Performing other duties as delegated by the RN not exceeding those duties allowed by the OSBN
Requirements:
  • Current CNA certification in the state of Oregon
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Basic understanding of infection control
  • Basic understanding and proficiency of documentation in the EHR

  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations and to work under pressure
  • Ability to accept responsibility and use initiative to proceed with necessary tasks without direct supervision
