Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Teacher Assistant Floater to join our team at Youth & Family Services. As a key member of our Child Development Center, you will provide support to our teaching staff, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for our young students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily classroom operations, including lesson planning, field trips, and activities.
  • Support the development of a healthy, safe, and learning environment for children.
  • Actively engage children in play and learning, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices and ECERS standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry for each child.
  • Supervise and engage children at all times to ensure child safety.
  • Follow Youth & Family Services Discipline Policy and Behavior Management Guidelines.
  • Direct teacher assistants, substitutes, and volunteers to carry out daily operations.
  • Assist in grant activities and support all program activities and services.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • May require a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA).
  • Maintain current credentials and certifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties in a controlled office or classroom environment.
