Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team at Providence Portland Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our patients through the childbirth process.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vaginal exams, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
- Participate in emergency situations, such as cesarean sections and postpartum hemorrhages, and respond to critical situations with confidence and poise.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in labor and delivery care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
- Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
- Current National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification within 90 days of hire.
- 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in labor and delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current National Certification in area of specialty.
