Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policy and procedures.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to non-licensed staff as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on care and treatment plans.
- Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with the care team to ensure a smooth transition.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- An Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- A current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and NIHSS certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
