About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Weekend Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Centered Health. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Supervision: Provide line-of-sight supervision to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Household Chores: Complete assigned household chores, maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment for our clients.
  • Professional Growth: Strive to increase professional growth and effectiveness by completing all required training and development programs.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services when authorized and necessary, utilizing your skills and training to de-escalate situations and promote a safe environment.
  • Client Engagement: Maintain active participation with clients, encouraging positive interactions and promoting a sense of community.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and monitor medication administration, documenting all details in our electronic medical record system.
  • Client Documentation: Document clients' nightly activities, unusual behavior, and pertinent information in our electronic medical record system.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with staff, therapists, and program directors, ensuring seamless collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Carry out other responsibilities as delegated by management, supporting the overall mission and goals of Centered Health.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications: RAD-T certification preferred. First Aid and CPR certifications required, but can be earned through us prior to your start date if needed.
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience in the social services field or patient care experience (group home, childcare, medical assistant, etc.). We may also consider candidates with college coursework in psychology, social science, or similar related fields.
  • Driver's License: Valid California driver's license and ability to pass and maintain a clean driving record check (MVR).
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and complete a physical and TB test.
  • Skills: Good judgment, positive attitude, dependability, and confidentiality. Knowledge of regulations concerning mental health treatment is a plus. Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health disorders, and treatment procedures for such illnesses is highly desired. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills, including Internet, email, and MS Word.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Benefits

This position comes with a hiring/retention bonus of $1,000. At the completion of 30 days, you will receive $500, and at the completion of 90 days, you will receive another $500.
