About the Job

We are seeking a highly qualified Business Teaching Specialist to join our team at the University of Minnesota. This part-time teaching position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Applied Business courses, contracted by Undergraduate Applied and Professional Studies in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Applied Business courses, primarily online, and make course curriculum updates as needed.
  • Support program initiatives, participate in professional development, and/or course development as required.
  • Hold weekly office hours and be reasonably responsive to student schedules.
  • Work with program staff to resolve course- or student-related situations that require support or resources outside the classroom.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skill and commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
  • Bachelor's degree in a field closely related to the course(s) of instruction.
  • Ten or more years of professional experience in a field/knowledge area directly related to the course(s) of instruction.
  • One year of teaching or corporate training experience.
