Job Description

At the YMCA of the Inland Northwest, we are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Youth Sports Program Staff to join our team. As a key member of our sports program, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality experiences for youth aged 4-13.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist or lead sports clinics, promoting a fun and supportive environment for participants.
  • Set up and take down equipment, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
  • Provide exceptional support, life skills, and program experiences to participants.
  • Act as an active listener, ensuring participant satisfaction and retention.
  • Follow all safety, emergency, and child abuse prevention policies and procedures.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings to stay informed and engaged.

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Experience playing and/or coaching sports, with the ability to teach gross motor skills.
  • Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications upon hire.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • The physical demands of this role include being stationary and upright, with occasional movement and lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
