Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team at Ledgent Finance & Accounting. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices, managing payment discrepancies, and maintaining organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Payment Management: Prepare and execute payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers, and reconcile payment discrepancies.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions, including vendor information and payment history.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues, discrepancies, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting: Assist in month-end closing by preparing accounts payable reports and reconciling accounts, providing accurate and timely financial information to management.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage and process a high volume of transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
