Accounts Receivable Specialist Job Description:
PrideStaff Financial is working with a global company that has been experiencing steady growth and expansion in search of an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will process and review all incoming payments, invoices and expense reports. The ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist will be a subject matter expert in full cycle receivables/collections with previous experience in a team culture.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage the full cycle of accounts receivable with precision and efficiency
Process customer payments and maintain accurate financial records
Generate and distribute invoices promptly, ensuring timely payments
Develop and implement effective strategies for collecting overdue accounts
Serve as the primary point of contact for customer billing inquiries
Prepare and analyze comprehensive accounts receivable reports
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Contribute to month-end closing procedures and financial reporting tasks
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions
Identify and propose process improvements in the accounts receivable cycle
Stay up-to-date with accounting principles and company policies
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed
Contribute to a positive team environment and support overall department goals
Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3-4 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable or similar financial role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Customer-centric approach with a focus on building positive relationships
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Adaptability to handle changing priorities and workload effectively
Experience in financial reporting and analysis
Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and best practices
