We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Specialist to join our team at Ascension Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for driving quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with clinical leaders to serve as a resource and support caregivers in improving outcomes.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve quality and safety outcomes.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and professional development to identify gaps and develop plans to improve professional growth, skills, and competencies.
- Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting quality/patient safety data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice.
- Guide the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) projects, including the revision of order sets and practice guidelines at the unit or division level.
- Aide in the analysis of research outcomes and devise strategies for their incorporation into evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
- Conduct unit rounds with a focus on coaching and mentoring in partnership with clinical leadership.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Maryland Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
- Work Experience: 2 years applicable experience required. 5 years preferred.
- MSN preferred
- Department education, best practices, clinical nurse specialist background preferred
