Job Summary:

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician I at Froedtert Hospital, you will assist in the installation, calibration, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of basic patient care equipment. This includes patient monitoring, surgical devices, infusion devices, and other related technical equipment. You will work under guidance and/or supervision to ensure the highest level of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, calibration, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair of basic patient care equipment
  • Work under guidance and/or supervision to ensure the highest level of quality and safety
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure equipment is functioning properly
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment
  • Document and report any issues or concerns with equipment

Requirements:

  • 3 years of related experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Associate degree in Biomedical or Electrical Technology or equivalent military training
  • Familiarity with medical technology and specialized training in medical technology service and support
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
